Nora’s Photoshoot

This photoshoot was quite a bit of fun. I found Nora on Model Mayhem, one of my favorite networking sites to find models and makeup artists. I absolutely loved the shots on her portfolio, and asked her if she was interested in doing a shoot with me for a couple of the projects I had in mind.
I met up with her at a local Starbucks a couple of weeks after that first message. I had decided to go minimal with this shoot, and brought only my essentials. My Nikon D90, my Nikkor 50mm f/1.8, and my Tamron 75-300. No strobes, no speedlights, not even a reflector. I always think that working with less makes you think of more creative ways to get a shot. Considering the extreme lack of equipment I was working with, I think I got some fantastic shots out of it.
This first set was taken in a park not too far from the Starbucks where we had met. There is a small brick building that houses the bathrooms and probably some lawn equipment. Who would have thought it would have made the perfect background for some shots? Enjoy!
