Nora Photoshoot (Part 2)

Here’s a few more shots from Nora’s shoot last week. There should be one more part to this coming up sometime in the next few days. As you can see, I really enjoyed shooting by that brick building on this shoot. The shots came out fantastic, and the bricks made for a really expressive and edgy looking background. We eventually moved to the rear of the building and shot near the graffiti-ed wall, and then moved down near the water for some shots.
After that, we found a local warehouse that the owner was kindly willing to let us use for a half hour, and we took some shots in there for a really gritty urban look. As you can see with the first picture from that session, we put a decidedly playful spin on that style. I’m really looking forward to working on processing the next set of images, because I personally think they came out nothing short of fantastic.
I have received a couple of emails (thanks by the way! please keep them coming), asking some questions about my shooting method, and how I’m able to get such crisp, colorful, and expressive shots without the use of strobes or reflectors. I’ve given it some thought, and I’m probably going to start to produce a learning series of videos that will go over some of my methods both behind the camera, and behind the computer to produce the shots that I get.
Stay Tuned!
